An Alpine man was hospitalized Saturday after being wounded with a box cutter during an argument.
Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said Richard Norman, 33, from the Alpine area, and the unnamed victim got into some sort of argument at an Alpine residence.
Norman produced a box cutter and cut the victim along the arm.
The victim was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center because the wound was long enough to possibly require surgical repair.
Norman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond will be set Monday.
No one else was charged and there were no other victims.
