APRIL EVENTS: JennieStephens Smith Library


April 5-8    New Albany Elementary Gifted Classes will be at the library learning research skills

April 8        C&S Staffing will be in the meeting room

April 9         Democratic Women will be in the meeting room

April 12       Pilot Club will meet from 6-8PM

April 18      Kappa Kappa Iota will meet at 4PM

April 19      Luncheon with Books: David Waddell who teaches Recreation Administration at the University of Mississippi will review his book Characters of the Bible: Finding My Story in Their Stories. Mr. Waddell grew up in Missouri attending Missouri State University before getting a degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. A light lunch will be served at 11:30AM followed by the book review.

April 21     New Albany Central Office will have a special education meeting.

April 26    New Haven will go to the Shaddinger’s instead of their usual meeting at the library

April 27     The Mississippi Library Commission will have a Mental Health workshop all day in the meeting room.

During the month every Tuesday at 2PM there is a Spanish class for home schoolers

During the month every Tuesday and Wednesday Union County Literacy Tudors meet with students in the library.

31 new library cards were issued during the month of March.
