Baptist Union County baby fair helps prepare moms-to-be -

For over 20 years, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County’s Baby Fair has been helping expectant mothers make the best possible choices. By bringing moms together with local experts and helpful information on the topic of babies, Baptist hopes to smooth the way.

This year, 130 expectant mothers registered at the Baptist Union County Baby Fair. They brought with them many spouses, siblings, grandparents and friends also anticipating the new arrivals.

Particularly for first-time parents, this can be an overwhelming time, requiring a lot of import decision-making on available choices. The Baby Fair aims to provide easy access to necessary information. Everything from products and services, to hospital and government “paperwork” technicalities, and even information on security is included.

Activities and vendors include local medical and dental clinics, car seat safety and children’s finger-printing, plus information on lactation; local businesses geared towards children, pre-admission and birth certificate information, and more.
