Bobby R. Gault, 82, died Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born May 27, 1936, in Sherman to G. C. and Ola Mae Creely Gault. He was a member of First Baptist Church in New Albany where he served as a Deacon, general Sunday School secretary, and on numerous other committees. He was retired from Futorian Furniture Manufacturing and was employed by Barefield Workplace Solutions. He was a 50 year York Life Mason and Shriner. He was a charter member and past president of the New Albany Shrine Club. He served 9 years on the Mississippi state school board. He served as president and was board member of the year in 2012-2013. He served on the New Albany school board for 37 years. He was a George H. Henson Fellow of the Kiwanis Club. He was a graduate of Sherman High School. He attended Northeast Community College and Strayer College of Accounting in Washington D. C. while he was employed by the FBI. He was an avid New Albany School sports supporter.

He is survived by 3 sons: Bob Gault (Wendy) of New Albany, Phil Gault (Lisa) of Hartselle, AL., and Dave Gault of New Albany; 1 sister: Evelyn Grubbs; 9 grandchildren: Keely Hamilton (Scott), Sarah Vance Gault, Kathryn Neuhaus, Jake Neuhaus (Kelsy), Phillip Gault, Justin Gault, Katie Allison Gault, James David Gault, and Carson Gault; and 2 great-grandchildren: Hudson Hamilton and Thomas Hamilton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years: Carolyn Ruth Brown Gault; and 1 sister: Francis Bell.

Pallbearers will be Bill Parks, Dave Kitchens, Mike Staten, Bill Jernigan, Michael Brown, and Troy Nance.
