Ingomar Mounds Day with ancient weapons competition is Saturday

The Ingomar Mounds Archaeological Event will be Saturday, Nov. 14, 10 – 2 at the mound site off Highway 15 on County Road 96, south of New Albany.

The ancient weapons competition will begin at 11:15. There are three levels of competition:  Child  to age 10; ages 11 – 15 and age 16 through adult.

There will be flint knapping demonstrations, object identification, mound tours  and crafts stations related to the Mississippi Heritage  Native American site.
