Jenny Turner

Jenny Lynn Gray Turner, 85, of Myrtle, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Sunshine Inn Assisted Living in Myrtle. She was born December 28, 1934, in Grays, Arkansas, to the late Lynn B. Gray, Sr., and Mary Anna Thompson Gray. Jenny was known by friends for her 25 years employment at Latham’s Hamburger Inn in New Albany. She was known by her family and friends at Faith Baptist Church as simply “Granny”.



She is survived by one son, Joe Lanier (Mary), of Lexington, Tennessee, two daughters, Susan Robbins (Jerry) and Cindy Robbins (Kenneth) of Myrtle, one sister, Sherry Gray of Springfield, Ohio, two brothers, Bobby Gray of Ingleside, Texas and Lynn B. Gray, Jr. of Dumas, nine grandchildren, Natasha Bryant (Larry), Staci Smith (Greg), Adam Lanier (Yadira), Rose Lanier, Timbo Robbins (Kelly), Brett Robbins (Marcie), Amy Bacon (Jason), Heath Robbins (Kelly), and Brittany Clayton (Joel), 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynn B. Gray, Sr. and Mary Anna Thompson Gray, two sisters, Willene “Charlie” Peterson and Joy Goudy, and four brothers, William Harvey “Bill” Gray, Sr., Jimmy Gray, Jerry Gray and Larry Paul Gray.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 21, 2020, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at United Funeral Home in New Albany with a graveside service to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery in Myrtle. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
