Local students named to UM honor rolls

The University of Mississippi recently announced area students named to the Fall 2020 Honor Roll lists, including Chancellor’s Honor Roll.

The Chancellor’s Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.75-4.00.

“Our Chancellor’s Honor Roll students deserve a great deal of recognition for their pursuit of academic excellence and incredible achievements,” said Chancellor Glenn Boyce. “These students represent some of the best and brightest at the University of Mississippi, and I’m thrilled to congratulate them for their pursuit of personal and academic greatness.”

Students from this area include:

Madison Grace Worthy, Sydney Caroline Meggs, Sarah Elizabeth Gaines, Lauren Paige Hamilton, Hannah Elise Harris, Ellison Freeman, Andrew Strawn Darling, Brittany Morgan Little, Chloe Lang, Kelly Lynn Mayo;

Samantha Brooke Campbell, Lillian Marie Swilley, Rachel Larkin Rainey, Sarah Kathryn Harris, Cal McGehee, Carrie Josephine Rakestraw, Elliott Wade Floyd, Madilyn Ann Morris, Laura Leigh Petteway, Noah Evan Watts;

Jonathan Wesley Pegues, Madison Michelle Cotten, Cecelia Pullman, Carley Elizabeth Hall, Sarah Hajeh Clifton, Keri Lee Deaton, Mary Grace McClellan and Ellie Alexandria Fitts.

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

The University of Mississippi also announced local students named to the Fall 2020 Dean’s Honor Roll.

The following students from this area made the list:

Margaret Grace Bramlett, Margaret Allyson Creekmore, Kaylah Elizabeth Dowell, Jarred Heath Ligon, Preston Taylor Moore, Kandice Claireese Pannell, Mary Tristiana Robbins, Robert Michael Sheppard, Jennifer Lynn Skalak and Kathryn Grace Topper.

The Dean’s Honor Roll is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.

In order to be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.
