MS Covid-19 update 4APR20: no new NE MS deaths -

About the case count: The MS Department of Health currently updates its map and statistics each morning with test results from the previous day that were reported by 6:00 PM that day. Outside laboratories also report positive test results, which are included the totals. County case numbers and deaths may change as investigation finds new or additional information.

Mississippi statistics

For April 4, 2020: MSDH is reporting 97 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi. Six new deaths have also been confirmed. Coronavirus cases have been identified in 30 long-term care facilities around the state, most in the past week. The total of Mississippi’s cases since March 11 now stands at 1,455, with 35 deaths. MS reports 30% of cases hospitalized with 21 of those hospitalized cases below age 40.
