New Albany, University of MS announce Community Development pilot program

An important announcement regarding community development in New Albany will be made at 10 a.m., Monday, March 15, at the Magnolia Civic Center.

Billye Jean Stroud, the city’s Community Development and Main Street Director, invites the public to attend the meeting.

Stroud says the meeting pertains to a partnership the city is forming with a major public institution. The partnership will assist the city in its future community development work.

OXFORD, Miss. (March 14, 2018) – The University of Mississippi is launching M Partner, an innovative program designed to maximize university resources in communities throughout the state. M Partner will begin as a pilot in 2018, during which the university will engage three communities in Mississippi. New Albany will be announced as a pilot community during a kickoff event.
