Pets can join Freedom festivities and aid Humane Society

Dress up yourself and your pet and come help raise awareness for our homeless pets in the community.  The Union County Humane Society will host a patriotic-themed pet parade at 4:00pm on June 25 during the Freedom Fest Activities in downtown New Albany. The entry fee is $10 per pet and all proceeds directly benefit the Union County Humane Society. There will be animals featured in the parade that are looking for homes. Children and adults  can participate by  walking their pets or by riding in our mini train!

To enter the parade, please register your pet at barklive.com or register through the  UCHS facebook page:  “Union County Needs A Humane Society”.  We encourage all pets and pet owners to go all out in their red, white and blue and support this important cause. Volunteers from the Humane Society will be on site at Freedom Fest to give out information and sell t-shirts. Be sure to be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your pet! The parade will begin promptly at 4:00pm, so arrive early. All pets and pet walkers will line up at the Union County Humane Society booth that will be set up across from Fred’s in the lot by the river.   Water and ice packs will be available if needed! Please e-mail uchsofms@gmail.com for more information.
