Pedaling for Hope draws crowd despite rainy weather

About 80 participants braved intermittent light rain early Saturday to ride in the annual Pedaling for Hope event.

The bike ride down the Tanglefoot Trail benefits the Regional Rehab Center in Tupelo and New Albany Main Street projects.

Different length rides were available, depending on the preference of the riders.

Riders received T-shirts and lunch after completing the event with the finish line near the new Tanglefoot Trail Welcome Center, used for the first time.

Although furnishings are still not all installed, the welcome center does have panels on the wall providing information about the history of the Tanglefoot and travel in the area.

The Regional Rehab Center, which relies solely on donations, provides a wide array of rehabilitation services for children and adults of the area – all at no cost to the clients.
