Tupelo-Sandra Sue “Sandy” Eldridge, 76, died Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Tupelo Health and Rehabilitation in Tupelo.  Born in Memphis, Tn. on November 25, 1943 to the late  Edward Phillips and Arlyne Nolen Phillips, Sandy grew up there and graduated high school.  In l964, she married her sweetheart, Ralph William “Bill” Eldridge.  He died in 2005.  Sandy and Bill lived all over the world including Portugal and Guam and in naval base cities all over the USA- as Bill was a career Navy man.  They made their retirement home in Canyon Country in California.  Sandy moved to Tupelo from Palmdale, California in 2015 to be near her daughter, Courtney and sister, Judy and their families. A private lady, Sandy loved reading, traveling, watching TV and home decorating. A dog lover all her life, she leaves behind one of the loves of her life, her dog, Benji and other dogs that were important to her.  Her family meant the world to her.

All local services are private to the family.  A graveside service will be held next week in Newhall, California with her remains being interred beside her husband, Bill in Eternal Valley Memorial Park.  Holland Funeral Directors, Tupelo Chapel is honored to be serving their friends.

Sandy leaves behind her daughter, Courtney Anne Eldridge Sutton and her husband, Allen of Tupelo.  her grand’s who were grateful for their “Nanma”; Michael, Amanda, Tyler, Jacob and Robin.  A beloved sister, Judy Ready and her family of Tupelo.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Robin Eldridge Augugliaro in l990.
