Sarah taught her children by example of loving others and taking food to the needy or sick in the community.

She was a faithful member of Ellistown Baptist Church, driving herself to Sunday morning service until failing health of the past year. She loved everyone, especially members of her Sunday School Class.

Survivors include three children: Jimmy Grubbs (Carolyn) of Ellistown; Rose Vinson (Tommy) of Collierville, TN; Barbara Hitt (Alan) of Branyan Community. One brother, Bill Foley (Latane) of Mound City. Nine grandchildren: Tommy Grubbs (Velina), Stephanie Grubbs, Rusty Grubbs, Suzanne Grubbs Meyer (Matt), Barry Vinson (Lynn), John Vinson, Vicki Vinson Fox (Wint), Mark Hitt (Carrie), and Lori Hitt Sheffield (Kirk). Also, she proudly had 26 great-grands and 8 great-great grands. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Grubbs was preceded in death by granddaughter, Carol Ann Grubbs, and great-granddaughter, Holly Vinson.

Services will be held at Ellistown Baptist Church on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to service time.
