Sheriff’s department investigating possible homicide

The Union County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a suspicious death in the Alpine Community eastern part of the county Friday.

Sheriff Jimmy Edwards said the body of a woman was found at a residence on County Road 225.

Edwards called in the state crime lab to aid in the investigation.
