IMPACTO students learn interview skills

Students in the IMPACTO Internship class at New Albany High School have been learning the soft skills necessary to prepare for job interviews.  Activities have included building their cover letters and resumes, as well as learning about interview preparation.  On Friday, September 11, these students participated in mock interviews.

IMPACTO (Industries as a Means to Prepare for Academic, Career, & Technology Opportunities) is a culminating career awareness project for high school juniors and seniors.  It is a two-year program of study which includes a career readiness class, national work certifications, dual enrollment opportunities, and an 100 hour internship work experience.

Funding for this innovative project has been provided by Three Rivers Planning & Development, Mississippi Partnership Workforce Board, CREATE, and the New Albany School District.  This is the third year for the IMPACTO program at New Albany High School.
