New Albany-Virginia Myrtle Raggett Reasons, 100, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020. She was born December 7, 1919 in New Albany, Mississippi to the late Arthur and Myrtle Raggett.
Mrs. Virginia graduated high school in 1937 and married her late husband, Mr. Wallace Reasons, in 1940 and lived many happy years in New Albany, Mississippi. She was a homemaker, a housewife, and was an employee of Sears and Roebuck. Mrs. Virginia’s family was well known to the city of New Albany where her grandfather founded several buildings, and the land the school is built on was her family land. As she grew older, Mrs. Virginia loved her daily Mountain Dew and Three Musketeers that her son Phillip would bring her.
She was survived by two sons; Phillip Reasons (Nelda) from Bartlett, TN., James Reasons (Amanda) form Townsend, TN. eight Grandchildren, twelve Great Grandchildren, and one Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by; her parents, her husband, Wallace Reasons; one sister Edna Handley, and one Grandchild.
Graveside services were at Glenfield Memorial Park at 12:00p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2020. United Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
